Delete Your Account
Last updated 3 September 2026
You can delete your PyChat account and data at any time. Here's how, and what happens after.
From the app
This is the fastest way:
- Open PyChat
- Go to Me → Settings
- Tap Delete account
- Confirm
The account is closed immediately.
By email
If you can't reach the app — lost phone, can't sign in — write to support@pychat.in from the email on your account, with the subject DELETE ACCOUNT. Include your registered phone number. We verify the request and complete it within seven working days.
What gets deleted
- Your name, photo, and profile details
- Your chat messages
- Your device push tokens
- Blocked and favourite lists
- KYC documents, once the retention period required by law has passed (hosts)
What we have to keep
Indian tax law requires us to retain financial records for eight years. So call records and payment transactions are kept — but detached from your profile, so they no longer identify you by name or photo.
We also retain records connected to an active fraud or safety investigation for as long as that investigation is open.
Before you delete
- Unused coins are forfeited. If you have a balance you'd like refunded, ask us before deleting — see the refund policy.
- Hosts: request any pending payout first. Earnings cannot be released after the account is closed.
- This cannot be undone. Deletion is permanent; signing up again creates a fresh account with nothing carried over.
