Child Safety Policy
PyChat is strictly for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, as a user or as a host. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any exploitation of minors.
Age requirement
Every account must belong to someone aged 18 or over. Hosts prove their age through government ID during verification. Users confirm their age at sign-up, and we act on any indication that an account belongs to a minor.
Zero tolerance
The following result in immediate permanent ban, without warning:
- Any sexual content involving a minor
- Attempting to solicit, groom, or sexually exploit a minor
- Sharing links to CSAM
- Any account found to belong to someone under 18
We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to Indian law enforcement, and we preserve evidence for investigation.
How we prevent it
- Host verification — government ID plus a live selfie, reviewed by a person before any account can take calls
- Contact filtering — messages containing phone numbers or links to other apps are blocked automatically, closing the most common grooming route
- Reporting — one tap from any profile, conversation, or call summary
- Review — reports involving minors are prioritised above all others
Reporting
If you encounter anything involving a minor on PyChat, report it in the app or write to support@pychat.in with the subject line CHILD SAFETY. These reports go to the top of the queue.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact the police on 112 or Childline India on 1098 first. Then tell us so we can preserve the evidence.
Cooperation with authorities
We respond to lawful requests from Indian law enforcement in child safety investigations, and we preserve account data on request while an investigation is open.
